LEAF

LEAF (Local Enterprise Around Food) is a community allotment project based on 6 city council allotments adjacent to Northern General Hospital, about 2 miles from our sites.  They provide opportunities for volunteers to support each other working communally on organic food-growing.  They also link with local schools and have piloted work in residential homes.  Our partnership is via informal links, including:

• Supporting members to progress to this more independent volunteering.
• Sharing tips on organic food growing.
• Mutual referring of volunteers.
• Pooling resources to share training and networking opportunities.

LEAF runs regular volunteer sessions:

Wednesday 1.00pm – 6.00pm
Thursday 10.00am – 1.00pm
Saturday 10.00am – 6.00pm
