Self-directed support
SAGE Greenfingers welcomes new members with a personal budget
If you have a personal budget to help support your mental well-being you may want to join in our gardening and arts activities. The session runs each week on:
Wed 11 – 2pm (including lunch)
We hope to reinstate our women only session as soon as it becomes economically viable. We also hope to be able to offer more sessions in 2012 as number permit. Please ring or email us for an update.
Sessions consist of meeting over a hot drink to decide what to do and then getting involved in gardening (as energetic or light as suits you); planning and cooking lunch for the group from the orgainc fruit and veg we're growing; varied arts and craft activity; occasional trips out (fishing, cafes, garden centres etc). See About Greenfingers for detail of gardening. See Projects for other activities.
We welcome up to 12 people per session and have a minimum of 2 staff (plus volunteers) supporting each session.
You can work independently, with one-to-one support or as part of small groups. You might want to come for just a few weeks or several months – depending on what works for you.
Prices start at £40 per 3 hour session depending on the level of support you need. We can provide gardening boots, waterproofs and tools.
